The LEVELer begins in the spirit of 1970s feminist newsletters, manifestos and journals circulated to provide critical awareness of the specific practices of women and broader issues of gender that impacted on these practices. The importance of charting and documenting our own histories and emergent dynamic communities informs this endeavour.
