About the exhibition
This exhibition connects the work of seven emerging female artists revealing how the physicality of body interacts with the nuances of one’s everyday. The artists, Nicole Gillard, Carly Scoufos, Zoe Porter, Lily Halton, Bindii Thorogood, Jessica Quinn, and Kathryn Danger Sawyer, all have gnawed and chewed the conundrum of what it is to be female in the 21st century—and none have followed any other’s footprint. These artists have developed and maintained a unique sensibility that invites a transferral from the commonplace into the memorable, allowing the collage of lived and imagined occurrences to be the catalyst for travel into unexpected territories and private spaces.
