LEVEL is an artist run initiative with dedicated residency and exhibition programs providing opportunities and building connections between early career and more established female visual artists.
Informing our approach are models of collaboration and collectivity and a commitment to critical engagement with the diversity of female contemporary arts practices. By strengthening relationships between artists, writers and curators, LEVEL seeks to provide a new platform for discussion; LEVELing the playing field.
Level is supported by the Visual Arts and Crafts Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments. Level has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. LEVEL would like to acknowledge the support of Eyeline Publishing and MAAP- Media Art Asia Pacific.
